Too many people use the parking for park and ride. to the detriment of local shops and shoppers local people cannot get parking as cars are left there all day. introduce parking charges over 30 minutes. enforce no queuing for spaces rule. its chaos at

The new doctors building stands empty on Uppermoor Road. It would be a good youth club or meeting place for the kids to go.

Alvaston is in need of improvements too but the council keeps running out of money. Allenton shopping area was done up a few years ago, they have a swimming pool, fitness centre, park, cinema and supermarkets and DIY Stores…Alvaston has nothing.

How about finishing Alvaston Shopping Area before any more money is spent in Allenton, they have new parking, but none done in Alvaston. How about us?

Revamp old Osmaston Park Hotel into flats or demolish this dreadful eyesore, create a landscaped greenbelt.

Lighting on the canal path from Uppermoor Road to Boulton Lane. After all it is an entrance to Merrill School and the only part without lighting.
